What's new!
2009 Christmas Appeal - St. Gregory the Great
St. Gregory the Great continues to work miracles in Tijuana, providing funding for 6 more homes this
Christmas and 45 since 2001!  That is almost half of the 100 homes built so far, and St. Gregory
parishioners have volunteered to work on EVERY HOME!
Your generosity transforms them into confident and
hopeful people who look forward to a better life for
themselves and their children.
That’s where we come in.  We find people to donate the money
necessary to build a safe, solid, and dignified home, and
gather together volunteers to go to Mexico and help build
alongside the family who will live there.  This is a great
opportunity for you and even your kids to get involved in a life-
changing experience.  We have plenty of work to do for
everyone - from skilled carpenters to 5-year-old children.
Education is also an important part of the Build A Miracle program.  We believe that
education is the way out of poverty.  Through our ongoing involvement with the
families who receive homes, we install a belief in the importance of school.  This is
an incredible opportunity to make a difference for generations to come.
The change in the families, as they help build their homes, and as they feel the love
and support of the other Build A Miracle families and U. S. volunteers who help
them build, is tremendous.  They come to life.  They become enthusiastic, happy,
and proud.  Every Build a Miracle volunteer and contributor is responsible for
transforming lives with the gift of hope for the future.
We are excited to share the
opportunity to have a
meaningful impact on so
many wonderful lives.
With love,
Chris & Julianne North

We build homes for people living in impoverished conditions in Tijuana, Mexico.  The families we help live in unsafe
shacks with dirt floors, no running water, and a hole in the ground for a toilet.  When we first meet with them, they are
shy and embarrassed.
